    JOB SUMMARY :

    • Analyze current credit data and financial statements of individuals or businesses to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit, lending money, or utilizing our cash management services. Prepare reports with this credit information for use in decision making. Provide ongoing monitoring of credit risk in the loan portfolio. Prepare reports summarizing the results of the monitoring process for management.
    • Loan Review consists of maintaining a list of borrowers eligible for review. This list is to be updated quarterly and provided to the Board of Directors for review. Request current financial information from borrowers. Perform annual or 18-month loan review and prepare a summary report on each borrower. Work with loan officers and collection officers on issues and findings resulting from the review.
    • Loan support consists of maintaining and preparing monthly and quarterly reports as requested by management for reporting purposes to the board.
    • As part of the overall banking staff, this position will assist as needed in other areas as directed by management. The staff consists of individuals that are trained to be multi-faceted, assuming various duties and tasks, with a knowledge of all bank products to enable responses to customers with questions or concerns.

    EXPECTATIONS (but are not limited to:)

    ** Loan Analysis:** This position will act as the commercial loan analyst. Those responsibilities include functions such as risk rating, collateral, exam liaison, watch list and cash flow spreads. This position will be responsible for completing the analysis as requested and the loan analysis software if applicable for all loans within the bank’s set criteria. This will help the bank determine cash flows and forecasts for loan customers and prospects.

    Loan Review: This position will be responsible for loan review. Loan review includes examining existing loans to make certain they meet the bank’s credit standards and documentation requirements. This includes requesting financial statements from borrowers as required. Create/monitor an annual or 18-month loan review process. Additionally, this position will help prepare the loan presentation for the Board of Directors. This includes the financial worksheet for all new loans. The lender continues to be responsible for the total credit and the customer relationship.

    Audit Support: This position will be directly involved with external auditors and examiners providing requested documentation. Complete special projects as directed by management.

    Loan Reporting and Support: This position will be responsible for maintaining and preparing monthly and quarterly reports for the Board which includes but is not limited to new loan reports, exception reports, and loan reviews. In addition, this position is responsible for reporting credit-related items for internal and external (examiners) use. This includes risk rating, exception tracking and board reporting. Assist with the training of new loan employees and provide support in the loan area as determined by management.

    Additional support as needed:

    • Customer account inquiries and problem solving
    • History research of all types of accounts
    • Administrative functions
    • Knowledge of all bank products

    COMPETENCIES:

    ** Financial Reporting:** Must understand financial analysis and the elements of credit administration. This includes various calculations needed to determine the viability of a specific loan.

    Verbal Communication: Possess the ability to verbally express thoughts and ideas effectively; actively listen to others. Must have excellent verbal communication skills.

    Time Management: Ability to effectively manage one's time to complete work in a timely fashion.

    Adaptability: Able to adjust quickly to different work situations; remain composed under pressure and in stressful situations.

    Professionalism: Project a positive image of the bank to all internal and external customers.

    Computer/Office Equipment and Software: This position requires a working knowledge of Office 365 software, particularly Excel spreadsheets. Must be able to use equipment used in a typical office environment. This includes telephones, copiers, scanners, calculators and computers (this list may not be all inclusive).

    Basic Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED; one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
