_ Role and responsibilities_

• Compliance with delegation authorities and lending policies.
• Reviewing and validating internal credit rating, LGD, and RWA models, including assumptions and overrides.
• Conducting detailed credit analysis, focusing on Sponsor counterparties.
• Managing the Credit Risk group as a senior team member, sharing expertise, and enhancing risk culture.
• Developing and reviewing policies, limits, and frameworks to align with best practices and regulations.
• Proposing risk mitigation strategies for counterparties and portfolios.
• Monitoring and managing CRE transactions, preparing analytical reports, tracking industry trends, and recommending client actions.
• Presenting insights to senior stakeholders and committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10-15 years’ previous credit experience specifically geared towards analyzing and understanding commercial real estate lending activities.
• Substantial experience as a Credit Risk Officer with an excellent understanding of credit risk and key regulatory metrics, as well as credit risk mitigation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to quickly establish credibility with Credit senior management and senior deal team executives.
• Knowledge and understanding of internal credit rating models and methodologies, as well as credit risk monitoring approaches and systems.
• Technical, analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to perform credit analysis. Proficiency in MSWord, Excel and database management experience. Argus (equivalent) a plus.
