Position Overview: As a Credit and Collections Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our accounts receivable portfolio. This position combines analytical skills with relationship management to ensure healthy cash flow while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

This role will manage two Credit and Collections Specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Financial Success

• Manage and evaluate credit risk through thorough analysis and policy implementation
• Execute effective collection strategies to maintain healthy cash flow
• Process and reconcile payments with precision and attention to detail

Relationship Management

• Partner with sales, customer service, and operations teams to resolve complex account issues
• Build and maintain professional relationships with customers while ensuring timely payments
• Provide exceptional customer service while handling sensitive payment discussions

Analysis & Reporting

• Develop and maintain comprehensive credit files and documentation
• Generate insightful reports on collection activities and portfolio performance
• Present financial analyses to support decision-making processes

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Serve as a trusted advisor to regional management teams
• Collaborate across departments to optimize collection processes
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in collections
• Leadership: 2+ years experience supervising or managing others
