Job Listing: Crew Coordinator Reports To: Project Manager
Position Summary: The crew coordinator assists with the training and guidance of participants in assigned project areas. This role is responsible for coordinating and operating a crew comprised of diverse members, ensuring smooth workflow and supporting the team in achieving project goals under the general supervision of the project manager. The project manager assigns duties and reviews work for effectiveness according to established standards.
Essential functions, duties, and responsibilities:

1.) Coordinates, organizes, and directs the activities of project participants to ensure efficient operations. 2.) Provides training and technical assistance in assigned project areas. 3.) Prepares inventories of supplies and equipment; purchases materials as needed to support project completion. 4.) Tracks participants attendance, evaluates performance, and records progress to monitor development and project outcomes. 5.) Oversees workflow, maintains accurate records, ensures proper tool usage, and coordinates proper vehicle maintenance specific to assigned projects. 6.) Collaborates with co-workers and external partners to design and deliver effective outcomes. 7.) Maintains regular attendance and punctuality as a core requirement of the position. 8.) Demonstrates a professional and courteous demeanor, fostering harmonious relationships with employees, participants, clients and the general public. 9.) Drives defensively on agency business, including travel to project sites and transporting supplies, with driving required daily. 10.) Accepts and performs additional tasks as assigned by the project manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1.) Looking for an all-around mechanic. 2.) High school diploma or equivalent required. 3.) One year of practical training or education and training in a field related to assigned projects or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. 4.) At least 6 months of experience as a lead worker required. 5.) Background in teaching or education is desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1.) Carpentry, framing, sheetrock, tape, spackle painting and tile. 2.) Knowledge of the specific project areas assigned. 3.) Ability to provide training and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. 4.) Strong organizational skills to coordinate crew activities, manage supplies, and maintain records. 5.) Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and adapt to varying project demands. 6.) Proficiency in defensive driving and handling job-related equipment and vehicles.
