We are looking for responsible drivers to transport our crews to and from job sites. As a driver, you must have a safe driving record, follow all state and national driving laws, rules, and regulations. In this position, you will follow prearranged routes to destinations or use maps and GPS to navigate routes. You will also maintain vehicle upkeep and cleanliness.
Driver Duties and Responsibilities
Practice safe driving habits
Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards
Accurately follow routes, maps, and directions
Operate a chipper and dump debris at designated dump sites
Assist crews in loading chipper with debris
Ensure that job sites are clean before moving on to next job
Maintain vehicle equipment; replace oil, fill gas tank, perform general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety
Clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed
Keep interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter
Load and unload vehicle
Collect payments, document amount, and offer receipts when necessary
Follow schedules and rerouting in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion
Driver Requirements and Qualifications
Demonstrate safe driving practices
Able to follow verbal directions, read maps, follow GPS
Bilingual English/Spanish
Able to work well alone
Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties
Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines
Excellent time management skills
Organized and able to follow a schedule
Focused on customer service
Positive attitude and professional demeanor
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time during daily routine
Previous professional experience driving preferred; training may be provided
Able to work from 6 am till all jobs complete. (Usually no later than 6 pm)
Ability to drive standard a plus
