We are looking for a highly motivated, responsible and experienced crew leader to join our team! The Crew Leader is responsible for supervising and leading a team of tree service professionals in the safe and efficient execution of tree removal, pruning, and maintenance tasks. This role involves coordinating daily operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and adhering to safety standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Supervision:
Lead and motivate a team of climbers, and ground crew members.
Assign tasks and ensure they are completed according to company standards.
Provide training and guidance to crew members on techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
Operational Management:
Plan and organize daily work schedules and assignments.
Ensure that all work is completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Manage and oversee the setup and takedown of job sites.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all crew members adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Conduct safety briefings and inspections before starting work.
Address and report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
Customer Service:
Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on progress.
Address any client concerns or questions professionally and promptly.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality work and courteous interactions.
Equipment and Material Management:
Oversee the maintenance and proper use of tools and equipment.
Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available and in good working condition.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
Quality Control:
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards and client expectations.
Address any issues or deficiencies in work quality and make necessary corrections.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of job progress, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
Complete and submit reports as required by management.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in tree service, or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Proficient in the use of tree service equipment and tools.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, and working at heights.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of tree species, pruning techniques, and tree care practices.
Bilingual: It is a plus but not required.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
May require irregular hours, including weekends or evenings, depending on project demands.
Potential exposure to hazardous conditions and use of heavy machinery.
