Our law firm is looking for a Fierce Advocate to join our team. We need a full-time Criminal Law Attorney with a desire to fight for clients! You will be the first chair with the support of our entire Criminal Law Team. You will be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, appearing in court, and keeping clients up to date. Your job will include representing clients facing a variety of difficulties in our legal system. You will have a docket of clients, a paralegal, supervision by the firm owner, and help from our team. You will be in charge of organizing your files, your calendar, and tasks. You should apply if being a vital figure in our team and changing the lives of your clients excites you. You will be in charge of managing multiple client meetings, court appearances, deadlines, and potential client meetings every week. You Must be organized. You must be self-motivated to find tasks that need to be accomplished and accomplish them. You must be able to work well with others as we will continue to grow in support staff and attorneys over the next few years. At times, you will also need to know how to figure things out and be able to creatively problem-solve and come up with solutions. You should apply if you are a problem solver. Responsibilities: • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence • Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action • Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies Qualifications: • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Able to work independently while handling multiple files • Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred • Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required Compensation: $70,000 - $95,000 yearly + Benefits Package
