    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Criminal Defense and Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both areas of law, providing compassionate yet aggressive representation to clients facing legal challenges. This role involves handling a diverse caseload, including criminal defense matters such as DUIs, misdemeanors, felonies, and post-conviction relief, as well as family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support disputes, and domestic violence issues. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action • Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Qualifications: • Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • We need an attorney who has a minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience and is comfortable in a courtroom • Licensed Florida attorney in good standing • Skills and experience are important and valued, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations • Spanish speaking a plus Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 yearly
