We promise we won’t eat your soul and the clients will actually enjoy the work you do for them. Who will I help? Future First handles primarily first-time offenders and misdemeanors. These clients typically have never been through the criminal justice system and need a little extra hand-holding with their cases. We do not take complex cases, in-custody clients, or those with unreasonable expectations. Each client is carefully vetted to make sure they are going to be a good fit with our firm and if they are not, we refer them out. Responsibilities: Am I a good candidate?Future First is looking to hire an attorney who believes in the power of deviations. That the first offer from a prosecutor is almost never the best option, and that you can actually make an impact on client’s lives. Future First is looking for someone who is comfortable driving to courthouses in Maricopa County ONLY, as well as working remotely on Zoom and filming client update videos. We are looking for someone who is willing to be trained by the owner in a new style of legal production. Goodbye are the days of sending your clients police files and having them “figure it out.” But also… say hello to a legal team backing you up and doing all the grunt work for you so you can focus on actually being a lawyer. Qualifications: It is usually unfair to say you need a certain amount of years worth of experience in a job to be a good fit for this job. What we are looking for is that you are open and willing to learn our style of how to be effective for clients. Yes, you must know Arizona laws and you must be a competent criminal lawyer who can handle a caseload. You will have Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your job that help you be successful. The KPIs that we care about are making sure you complete each week are how many productive hours you track in Clio, tasks completed in Clio, quick introductions to new clients, substantive case updates for clients, and timely court appearances. If you are a motivated individual who wants to get cases solved with the best results in the most efficient time possible then you will be very successful at Future First. If you believe you qualify for this position and want an interview, then you must send a cover letter to zach@futurefirst.law detailing why you believe you will be a good fit for this firm.
