Responsibilities: • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis • Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings • Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence • Represent clients in a range of criminal defense cases, including misdemeanors and felonies. • Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare for court appearances. • Work closely with our team of experienced attorneys and support staff in a collaborative setting. • Maintain strong communication with clients, ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the legal process. • Participate in firm initiatives and professional development opportunities. Qualifications: • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role • Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in NJ; admission to NY/PA is a plus. • 3–6 years of experience in criminal defense. • Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills. • A team player with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset. • Excellent organizational and client communication skills. Compensation: $110,000 - $175,000 yearly
