We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team in the Criminal Law and Traffic Law practice. The ideal candidate will support attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting documents, preparing case files, and assisting with trial preparation. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks, including interacting with clients, managing case schedules, and ensuring the smooth processing of legal matters related to criminal and traffic law cases. Responsibilities: • Drafting and filing legal correspondence with courts and opposing counsel. • Conducting legal research on criminal and traffic law matters, including statutes, case law, and legal precedents. • Managing and organizing case files, ensuring all relevant documents are maintained and updated. • Coordinating communication with clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders. • Scheduling court hearings, depositions, and meetings. • Preparing and reviewing evidence for criminal and traffic cases. Qualifications: • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English (both spoken and written). • Experience working in fast-paced environments. • Experience in the criminal law field and traffic law is a plus. • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information. • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and case management. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Prior experience in a law firm or legal department is a plus. Compensation: $13 - $16 hourly
