    Job Description

    Goins Sweitzer Engineers and Consultants is seeking a Critical Path Method (CPM) Schedule Reviewer to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing CPM schedules for construction projects. This role requires attention to detail, technical knowledge of CPM scheduling, and the ability to provide clear feedback and detailed reports. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and management in the evaluation and analysis of CPM schedules.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and analyze initial CPM project schedules and monthly schedule updates submitted by contractors.
    • Review schedules within Primavera P6 and perform analysis with software such as claim digger or schedule comparison to include durations, logic, float, activity additions/subtractions, critical path and near critical activities.
    • Provide feedback on schedule quality, technical correctness, and overall adherence to contractual requirements.
    • Identify potential schedule risks or delays.
    • Prepare detailed reports on schedule reviews, findings, and recommendations.
    • Collaborate with contractors and project stakeholders to address schedule discrepancies or issues.
    • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all schedule review activities, including meeting notes and analysis reports.
    • Notify project management team of any significant schedule changes or risks as they are observed.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in CPM schedule review and analysis, particularly in construction projects.
    • Proficiency with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
    • Strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles and methodologies.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
    • Previous experience with construction contracts and project management.

    Work Environment:

    • Must reside in North Carolina
    • Flexible, part-time, hourly work.
    • Occasional on-site visits, depending on project requirements
