Job Summary
The HR Generalist will collaborate as needed across the HR organization and with business partners across several key aspects of HR i.e. payroll, benefits, compliance, training as well as HR analytics. Will be responsible for several HR related processes requiring a high degree of confidentiality, HRIS system proficiency working across multiple departments, functions, and business partners. The desired candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management. As needed, the position will support associate hiring and onboarding activities.
Responsibilities
-Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements and maintain records. -Content expert regarding policies, procedures, and programs. -Support Payroll Processing for hourly and salaried associates on a weekly and bi-weekly pay cycle. -Perform payroll processes that includes importing, proofing, editing, processing, and transmitting all payroll wages, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, and manual payments consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws. -Prepare garnishment files and submission for processing within the managed payroll environment. -Respond to manager inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, including health and dental, 401k, PTO, FMLA, and general employee personnel issues. -Perform weekly and bi-weekly audits for both Union and Health & Welfare deductions. Including monthly reporting, invoice review and timely submission for vendor payments to Accounts Payable -Assists with benefit administration including FMLA, health, dental, voluntary life, vision, Section 125 flexible benefits, short-term disability, long-term disability plans and 401k retirement plan. -Complete the monthly U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting for required states. -Assisting with vendor relationships related to specific projects to ensure alignment and integrity of the vendor relationship Influence. -Special projects as assigned including but not limited to engagement survey champion. -Drive communications throughout the process from an HR perspective to business partners, as well as preparation and coordination of employee communications. -Identify, leverage, and integrate current technology to increase effectiveness of internal and external HR communication. -Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree -Min 2 years of Human Resources or equivalent combination of related degree and experience -Excellent presentation and communication skills with an ability to distill information to the clearest points -Understanding technical terminology that relates to business environment/information technology systems -Possess excellent judgment and an ability to balance multiple tasks -Personable, with ability to finesse a situation and build consensus among business partners -Proficient with data management and reporting (able to define, gather and synthesize data from multiple sources to produce analysis) -Excellent analytical and conceptual skills -Thorough attention to detail with excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills -Enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment -Must be a team player -Experience with Ceridian Dayforce a plus but not required -Proficient with Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio, Outlook, Microsoft Project and SharePoint and PowerPoint
