Crowley Fleck PLLP is a premier regional law firm with eleven offices located throughout Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming. Our Billings, MT office is currently seeking a HR Generalist. This position works closely with management and employees to create positive and effective working relationships, build employee engagement, manage performance, and attract, retain, and develop talent in a collaborative environment. Handles tasks in the areas of general employment, employee record keeping, recruiting, onboarding, leave management, and other routine questions.

Key Responsibilities:
Understanding of HR concepts and principles.
Knowledge of labor and employment laws.
HR data and file management and processing personnel changes.
Acts as a resource and mentor for employees, providing guidance and discipline as needed.
Arbitrates concerns and difficult interactions between employees.
Manages staff recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates, pre-screening, scheduling, and conducting interviews.
Manages offer letters and onboarding for new hires.
Assists in organizing new-hire orientation for interns, associates, and staff.
Assists in organizing exit interviews for summer interns.
Assists in performance evaluations and salary reviews for staff.
Handles confidential information and communications.
Assists management in developing and implementing human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
Provides support and participates in firm initiatives and implementation activities.
Acts as a performance improvement driver and provokes positive change in people management.

Minimum Qualifications:
2 – 5 years of relevant experience.
College level coursework or a bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other similar software.
Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Available to travel as needed.
Valid driver’s license.
