Taste Buds Kitchen seeks a high-energy Culinary Instructor who loves inspiring others to have fun in the kitchen. With the perfect blend of culinary talent, dynamic teaching/presentation skills and a fun, outgoing and charismatic personality, the Culinary Instructor brings our cooking class content to life, creating and leading exceptional event experiences for our guests of all ages - kids, families and adults.
Responsibilities:
Instruct an engaging cooking class experience with excellent and consistent client service, following provided event guides and recipes
Teach clients in an informative yet approachable manner
Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests
Comfort leading events for all ages - from budding chefs as little as age 2 to adults
Work quickly and efficiently while managing a strict event timeline – on some events you may work solo, others you will manage and supervise a team of assistants
Manage event needs from start-to-finish (from room set-up and ingredient prep to seamless event execution and thorough clean-up)
Maintain a controlled, clean environment, providing first aid/CPR treatment if needed
Experience & Qualifications:
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Natural curiosity and passion for food and culinary entertainment
Proficient in a broad range of cooking and baking techniques
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Confident speaking in front of groups with an amplified voice
Minimum of 1-2 years of professional kitchen operations, food, nutrition, or culinary experience or a teaching background with proven passion and knowledge about/ability to demonstrate a solid foundation of cooking and baking skills; previous culinary instruction experience preferred
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds
Available evenings and weekends, willing to work a flexible schedule
CPR/first aid certified or willing to obtain certification

For Kids (ages 2 to teen): We offer hands-on cooking classes, camps, birthday parties, and field trips.
For Adults: We provide BYOB date night cooking classes, birthday parties, bachelorettes, showers, and corporate events.
What we offer:
Competitive hourly pay plus earned gratuity
Flexible scheduling
Guaranteed 35 hours per week, maximum 40 hours
Guaranteed one day off per week
