Learning Architect /Training Developer/ Curriculum Designer – STEM-Focused

About the Role:

You’ll design training programs that help U.S. Navy personnel operate advanced systems on ships and submarines, including sonar, electronic warfare, and mission planning tools. Your job will focus on organizing instructional material into modules, brainstorming ideas for animations and exercises, and creating assessments.

You won’t need to code or create graphics—a team of developers and designers will bring your ideas to life. Experience with Navy systems is a plus to help you get started quickly.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
• PhD in a STEM field (e.g., physics, math, or engineering)
• This is a full-time, on-site position in Columbia, Maryland, due to the sensitive nature of the work
• Skilled in transforming intricate, nuanced information into clear, compelling learning materials that engage diverse audiences and promote understanding.
• Examples of helpful prior experience includes: scientific research, technical manual research and writing, or defense system operations manuals—where simplifying material while maintaining accuracy is essential for effective learning.
