Position Summary: Perform routine janitorial and grounds maintenance duties to ensure cleanliness of facilities. Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including mopping, dusting, and trash removal.

Essential Functions: • Cleans and sanitizes sinks, toilets, showers, restrooms, and other assigned areas. • Cleans and maintains floors, walls, windows and other surfaces as required. • Empties waste containers, recycles as appropriate. • Dusts, washes, mops, shovels; maintain plants as required. • Replaces disposable items including soaps, paper towels, sanitizers. • Responds to clean up emergencies as required. • Observes and reports building health and safety issues. • Perform grounds keeping maintenance as required including snow removal. • Assist in setting up for special events.

Qualifications: • Six months or more related experience preferred. Monday through Friday with occasional weekends required. • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, report and record information. • Ability to communicate areas of concern regarding safety and cleanliness; read and understand product safety instructions prior to use. • Ability to perform responsibilities with limited supervision, observe and report unusual incidents, respond in emergencies as required. • Previous experience in operating basic building maintenance equipment.

Physical Demands: • Required to lift and/or move on occasion up to 50 pounds • Required to climb ladders and stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, open containers, shovel and sweep. • Ability to work with paint, cleaners, chemical compounds, solvents in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms. • Ability to work in conditions that create dirt, dust, pollen, humidity among others. • Exposure to a wide range of outdoor weather conditions including cold, heat, and humidity.
