  • Responsibilities

    The Volunteer Specialist coordinates, guides, and facilitates the entire application process for volunteer candidates across the Integrated Delivery System. Once a volunteer is accepted into the program, the Volunteer Specialist is responsible for proper orientation, and training. The Volunteer Specialist will collaborate with other department’s personnel to coordinate placement and training of a volunteer and ensure all paperwork is returned and documented in a timely manner. This is a non-exempt position.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    Required:

    • High School Diploma/GED.
    • Minimum 1 years of experience in Volunteer administration, human resources, administrative or related experience.
    • Experience in resolving conflict and building partnerships.

    Preferred:

    • 1 years of previous experience in hospital volunteer administration and supervision.
    • Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS).
    • Proficiency in the use of a volunteer database, preferably Volgistics.
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
