    Position Summary: Customer Service / Cashier

    Cashiers manage all monetary exchanges in the restaurant by taking orders and ringing up transactions, serve as a liaison between the guest, the managerial staff, and the kitchen staff, and keep the front area of the restaurant clean and well stocked.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greets all guests politely with a smile when they enter the restaurant.
    • Interacts and builds rapport with guests.
    • Answers phones in a professional and courteous manner; takes carry-out orders.
    • Responsible for ensuring delivery and online orders are processed.
    • Inputs guest orders into a POS system.
    • Ability to upsell and offer guests additional options.
    • Monitors orders and ensures their prompt delivery.
    • Must have full knowledge of all menu items and ingredients.
    • Runs food to dine-in guests.
    • Keeps the counter and dining area neat and clean.
    • Restocks supplies.
    • Takes money from guests and provides correct change.
    • Processes credit card and debit card transactions.
    • Keeps track of a cash drawer and ensures it is balanced at the end of the shift.
    • Responsible for providing exceptional guest service to each and every guest.
    • Works well in pressure situations.
    • Maintains professionalism.
    • Listens to and resolves guest complaints, suggestions, and inquiries.
    • Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
    • Adheres to health department codes regarding food sanitation and handling.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications:

    • A highly motivated and energetic personality.
    • Excellent guest service skills.
    • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
    • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
    • Has successfully completed an alcohol awareness program.
    • Food safety certified.
    • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
    • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 55 pounds.
