    Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, The Elco Corporation (Elco) is basic in sulfur and phosphorous chemistry. We focus on additives for extreme pressure, wear protection, friction modification and corrosion inhibition.

    Today our product line includes sulfurized products (including light color, low odor), di-thiophosphate chemicals, and other specialized lubricant packages to meet our customer’s formulating needs. Our products serve the metalworking fluid, grease, hydraulic oil, slide way lubricant, gear oil, and other industrial lubricant markets.

    Elco is an international company that operates in more than 50 countries.

    ** Duties and Responsibilities:**

    The customer service representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by obtaining excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the Operations department. Incumbent will also provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product requests. Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns. Partner with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations.

    ** Key duties include but not limited to the following:**

    • ****Enters customer orders in SAP, orders confirmed via SAP order acknowledgment.
    • Prepare bills of lading; verify material description, customer item codes, regulatory detail, quantity, and ship to location match the order.
    • Review all shipping documents prior to releasing them to the warehouse.
    • Communicate with van lines, logistics groups, and/or freight forwarders to ensure pick-up confirmation is received for all shipments.
    • Arrange same day expedited deliveries when requested by customer and approved by Management.
    • Review shipped paperwork for proper signatures and dates.
    • Email BOL and COA copy to customer immediately after shipping.
    • Post (GR) sale orders after shipping to release inventory from SAP.
    • Make sure that all paperwork for the next day is prepared for shipment.
    • File completed sales orders monthly.
    • Third Party Shipments - freight handling.
    • Scheduling LTL, Bulk and Truckload carriers for better dock productivity.
    • Arrange bookings, update SAP with follow up information and date changes.
    • Shipping documents to the forwarder and the customer.

    ** General Requirements:**

    • High School diploma or GED
    • 2-3 years customer service experience, in a manufacturing environment is required.
    • Basic SAP experience is required.
    • ISO, International Export and Hazardous Material Shipping experience is a plus.

    Must pass Department of Homeland Security background check, pre-placement physical and pre-employment drug-screen.

    Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
