Job Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will communicate with customers to identify their needs, process requests, resolve complaints, and provide helpful solutions that ensure they have a great customer service experience with our company. The ideal candidate is friendly, computer savvy, and is able to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
Welcomes clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answers or refers inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person, by telephone or online.
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying technicians of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
Comforts clients by anticipating clients’ and patients’ anxieties; answering clients’ questions.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Collects client charges, records and updates financial information, processes insurance claims. Serves as a liasion between the clinic and insurance companies to ensure the greatest coverage benefit for clients.
Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed supplies; places orders for supplies; verifies receipt of supplies; schedules equipment service and repairs; maintains cleanliness in lobby and reception area.
Maintains prescription diet inventory and places weekly food order requests.
Immediately alerts technicians and/or veterinarians about emergencies whether called in or walk-ins.
Performs other related duties as requested.

Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Previous experience as a Customer Service Representative in the veterinary field
Comfortable using computers and customer management software
Excellent phone and verbal communication skills
Understanding of active listening techniques
Ability to work well under pressure
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize projects and manage time effectively
