HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Customs Brokerage Manager will lead a dynamic customs brokerage team and oversee the daily operations, ensuring full compliance with CBP and other regulatory requirements.
This is an in-office position based in Houston, TX.
EXPECTATIONS
- Ensure compliance with CBP and other government agencies (FDA, USDA, EPA, etc)
- Resolve customs holds and shipment delays
- Train and support team on customs entry process and CBP regulations
- Act of point of contact internally and externally on customs-related inquiries
- Stay up to date on changes to U.S. customs laws and trade regulations
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and implementation of internal controls
- Collaborate with management team to drive efficiencies
- Effectively lead and mentor team
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and government agents
ESSENTIALS
- Licensed Customs Broker required
- 10+ years’ experience in customs brokerage and trade compliance
- Experience with Oil & Gas industry
- Proficiency in Customs entry systems (ACE, ABI, CargoWise, etc)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations; HTS, COO, Valuation, FTA, AD/CVD
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, or related ?eld preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
