  • Responsibilities

    Nooks is currently seeking a Cyber IT Systems Administrator to join the team in Arlington, VA.

    The candidate will rely on a Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) background to be a technical leader and support Enterprise activities and Nooks customers throughout multiple computing domains (Classified and Unclassified). The candidate is responsible for executing and enforcing Information System Security policies, standards, and directives to ensure assessment and authorization of information systems processing classified information.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Lead overall IT Systems Architecture efforts including health, maintenance and support of new systems as well as supporting the sunsetting of legacy systems and incorporation of Tech Refreshes.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of government approved information security procedures and plans for the operation of multiple networked systems, and coordinate government agency approvals.
    • Apply information technology security principles and configure security settings, complete weekly system audits, apply security patches and conduct media reviews.
    • Consult on the design, development, integration, and analysis of classified computing systems with the programs and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
    • Assist with self-inspection reviews. Assist in conducting comprehensive investigation of computer security incidents, coordinating with other organizations for expertise.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Active Security Clearance
    • Experience with SIPRNET and DoD Organization's such as DISA and DCSA
    • Experience with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Windows and Linux Servers/Clients, PC Desktops, network devices and supported applications
    • Holds a current Security+ Certification (IAT or IAM Level 1 IAW DODM 8570.1-M)
    • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity policies and implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF): e.g. DAAPM, ICD-503, JSIG, or NIST SP 800-171
    • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work or military experience
    • 2+ years of experience in Project Management
    • 2+ years of experience in assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show cybersecurity compliance
    • Experience leading audits conducted by external stakeholders
    • Excellent written and verbal skills with ability to communicate well with team members, customers and leadership

    Typical Education & Experience:

    Typically, 3 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
