We are looking for a dedicated Cytotechnologist to join us at Solvet and help support the team at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier Pathology and Laboratory services to eligible beneficiaries, ensuring care meets or exceeds the high standards set by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cytotechnologist services in a healthcare setting dedicated to veterans’ care.
- Provide accurate and timely cytopathology services, ensuring high-quality patient results.
- Collaborate with medical staff to support patient care and treatment decisions.
- Maintain and document adherence to all professional and regulatory standards.
- Ensure timely reporting of findings and maintain compliance with VA and ASCP standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited cytotechnology program with a diploma, associate degree, or higher.
- Certification: Current ASCP certification in Cytotechnology, along with certification in BLS and ACLS (or equivalent).
- Licensing: Full, unrestricted license to practice in the U.S. or District of Columbia.
- Experience: Proven proficiency in cytotechnologist services, including current proficiency in Pap testing (within the last 12 months).
- Continuing Education: Maintain and fulfill Continuing Medical Education (CME) or Certified Education Unit (CEU) requirements.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
