  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • DCP Creation and Mastering: Lead the creation of encrypted and unencrypted DCPs, conforming to both SMPTE and Interop standards, for a wide range of theatrical content.
    • Tool Proficiency: Utilize DaVinci Resolve, Colorfront’s Transkoder, and DVS Clipster for DCP mastering, color space conversions, and final conform.
    • Color Space Management: Handle complex color space conversions with precision and ensure fidelity across different source materials and delivery formats.
    • Content Resizing: Resize content appropriately to meet 2K and 4K DCI DCP specifications, preserving creative intent and technical compliance.
    • Quality Control: Perform visual and audio QC on all final packages, ensuring pristine playback with no sync, color, subtitle, or audio errors.
    • Workflow Development: Refine, document, and improve DCP mastering workflows for scalability and efficiency.
    • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring confidence in technical direction and deliverables.
    • Conduct Training: Train and support junior operators on DCP best practices and tool usage.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in DCP creation and digital cinema mastering.
    • Advanced expertise with DaVinci Resolve, Colorfront’s Transkoder, and Clipster.
    • In-depth knowledge of color science, color spaces, and precise color space conversions.
    • Experience resizing source materials to conform with 2K DCP DCI specifications.
    • Strong understanding of SMPTE and Interop DCP standards, encryption, DKDM and KDM workflows.
    • Familiarity with media formats such as ProRes, IMF, H.264, EXR, DPX and TIFF sequences.
    • Detail-oriented, with impeccable file naming, metadata handling, and organizational practices.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm, solutions-focused approach under tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills and comfort working closely with internal teams and clients.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Technology, or a related field.
    • Experience with subtitling workflows and syncing across multiple language packages.
    • Ability to operate digital cinema playback environments for real-time QC.
    • Availability for flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends when required.

    Salary Range: $35 – $40 USD Per Hour
