    Job purpose

    Through the use of the organizational pillars (Healed, Disciplined, Educated, Creative), and healing centered practices, the DCS services and compliance coordinator will ensure all requirements and outcome goals of DCS service standards are followed. Services will be monitored according to the Indiana Practice Model in such providers will build trust-based relationships with families and partners by exhibiting empathy, professionalism, genuineness and respect. The DCS services and compliance coordinator will ensure that Services will be high quality, family centered, and culturally competent. and promote the well-being of children, youth, and families. The DCS Services Compliance Coordinator will work with all counties where VOICES has DCS Service contracts to ensure compliance with all cases and files. This position requires a strong commitment to youth and family development as well as connections to community partnerships. The ideal candidate will be flexible and have an understanding of both of the Family court systems (Delinquency and Dependency).

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Receive cases from the administrative assistant and assign cases according to referral request or open availability.

    • Contact referral source and confirm referral is received and request supporting documentation that is needed for file compliance.

    • Coordinate with all DCS contractors, community partners and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services along with VOICES services.

    • Review and monitor progress notes to ensure they are thorough, accurate and reflect client goals and program outcomes.

    • Maintain accurate up to date client records and program documentation in compliance with organizational and DCS policies.

    • Ensure all monthly reports are approved and submitted to the administrative assistant by the 10th of the month.

    • Maintain regular communication with DCS and probation (referring organizations) to ensure that they are aware of openings and to address any concerns.

    • Represent VOICES at regional services council meetings and other meetings/learning opportunities that are necessary to effective program management.

    • Ensure all contractor invoices are accurately reviewed and approved before the payroll deadline.

    • Conduct regular staffing meetings with contractors, as required by DCS, to address client progress, address challenges and develop strategies for effective service delivery.

    • Additional duties as requested by Director or designee

    • **Some travel may be required as this role works with all counties in which VOICES is contracted with DCS

    Qualifications

    • Masters in social work, psychology, marriage and family or related human service field. Licensing by Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services preferred.

    • 3+ years ‘of experience in social work, community service, criminal justice, or related field.

    • Preferred experience working with both systems.

    • 3+ years’ experience leading/building a team.

    • Experience working with system impacted clients and families.

    • Knowledge of community services that support families.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.

    • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with wide array of people.
