  • Responsibilities

    We seek a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Quality Assurance/Improvement Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all our services and operations adhere to the standards set forth by DDA COMAR rules of the State of Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, compliance, DDA regulations, and a deep understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities.

    Performs monthly on-site audits at each licensed site to evaluate compliance with agency processes and Code of Maryland Regulation (COMAR) requirements and accreditation standards by performing reviews that include, but are not limited to, personnel files, policies, and procedures, incident logs, health care, emergency preparedness, infection control activities.

    Monitor the quality of the services provided to individuals through ongoing home/center/office visits (as relevant for the service).

    Complete comprehensive case file reviews (as relevant for the service).

    Participate in the strategic planning process.

    Develop goals and objectives for Quality Assurance Plans annually.

    Complete program reviews of all programs across A New Horizon Inc to ensure compliance with applicable state/federal regulations and contract/ guidelines are met.

    Provide a thorough report of findings from each review within a specified time period.

    Ensure plans of correction are implemented in response to findings.

    Provide training to staff both in formal and informal training moments as needed.

    Develop and maintain a positive relationship with co-workers, teams, and operational teams for each program.

    Review incident reports and submit to DDA per agency and regulatory standards within 24 hours

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Must demonstrate an understanding of fundamental rights and self-determination and assure that the individuals in the house are afforded these rights

    Must demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, patience and compassion

    Must be able to interact in a professional manner with New Beginnings staff, parents, employers and other professionals

    Excellent oral and written presentation skills

    Must pass drug test and criminal background check

    Education

    Required

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field is required.

    •MBA is strongly preferred.

    •Previous work experience in quality control or specific job sector of employment is required.
