    Job Title: Community Program Leader

    Location: Delhi Center, 505 East Central Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92707

    Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

    Position Type: Part-Time

    Starting Salary: $18-20 per hour

    Job Summary:

    The Community Program Leader is a dynamic and compassionate individual committed to supporting the diverse needs of the Delhi Center clients across various departments including Youth, Seniors, and Community needs. This role involves delivering engaging activities, planning educational lessons for non-school day camps, supervising and ensuring the safety of children, and providing support to seniors and other clients as part of the Empower360 initiative. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, responsible, and dedicated to identifying and meeting the needs of the community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Assist in delivering a variety of activities and programs across different departments, tailored to the needs of children, seniors, and other Delhi Center clients.

    Plan and execute lesson plans for non-school day camps ensuring educational and engaging experiences for children.

    Supervise children during programs to ensure their safety and well-being.

    Provide compassionate support to seniors and other clients, assisting with their specific needs and enhancing their overall experience at the Delhi Center.

    Assist with client intake and registration processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a welcoming environment for new clients.

    Identify the needs of clients and collaborate with Program Managers and Case Managers to address these needs effectively.

    Engage in community outreach activities, including canvassing and disseminating information to local businesses and schools.

    Represent the Delhi Center at resource fairs and outreach events to promote the center's programs and initiatives.

    Demonstrate a commitment to the Empower360 approach by fostering an environment of empowerment, support, and growth for all clients and staff.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals.

    Ability to plan, organize, and execute educational and recreational activities.

    A compassionate and resourceful approach to problem-solving and client support.

    Commitment to the safety and well-being of all clients, particularly children and seniors.

    Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, especially regarding handling intake and registration forms and maintaining accurate records.

    Understanding of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.

    Flexibility to attend events, outreach activities, and other programs as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Associate degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.

    Experience working in a community center or with non-profit organizations.

    Familiarity with the local community, resources, and services.

    Bilingual abilities (Spanish).

    Working Conditions:

    The role requires both indoor and outdoor activities, attending events, and community outreach.

    Some weekend and evening hours may be required to meet the needs of the community and attend events.
