Duties:
Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records
Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
Maintain a clean and organized living environment
Document individual progress and communicate effectively with team members
Taking client to community activities(local gym, library, museum,YMCA)
Transporting client from work
This client is strictly Community Based Supports
Looking for an individual to engage with client inside and outside of the home, movies, museum, zoo, park aquarium, malls etc
Qualifications:
Candidate must be bilingual -Spanish speaking
Experience or education in social work or a related field is preferred
Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavior management techniques
Ability to follow medication administration protocols and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is a plus
Physical ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals to appointments or activities
First aid and CPR certification is mandatory
