Avid Solutions is looking for a Lead Automation Engineer/Architect who will be working with our clients helping them to make their processes more effective and efficient. We are looking for someone with a combination of technical leadership skills, client relationship skills, business development and strong field experience. You will be the site manager and face of Avid, based in our client site in Aurora, NC.

On a typical day you will:

• Perform lead engineer (project execution manager) functions to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Perform complex troubleshooting in the field, when required
• Support existing control systems, historians and reporting, with minimal supervision as needed
• Develop and build client relationships to drive sales
• Evaluate and clarify customer project opportunities. This includes walking down processes, making suggestions, and further clarifying scopes of work.  These opportunities may be client initiated or identified by Avid.
• Create customer project proposals

We are looking for someone with a solid background in Engineering (Chemical /Electrical preferred) and at least 5 or more years of technical experience, with the ability to take a lead on managing the execution of projects with support from the project manager. Someone who has strong field experience, enjoys autonomy, working independently with minimal supervision and likes to wear multiple hats.

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who has a strong understanding of the Rockwell platform, likes interacting with the client, enjoys conducting site walkdowns and managing quotes, doing some sales activities and delegating tasks, when required.

This is a full-time position. We offer our automation engineers a base salary, an incentive program and a full benefit package. Generous relocation assistance is also provided for this role.
