    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic team at Novellis Health in Manhattan. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments that make a difference in our patients' lives. You'll work in a collaborative environment with leading radiation oncologists and a supportive team of professionals.

    Schedule: 3-4 days per week (Mon - Fri).

    Key Responsibilities

    Administer precise radiation therapy treatments in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's instructions and established safety protocols.

    Prepare patients for treatment, including simulation, positioning, and use of immobilization devices.

    Calculate radiation dosages and operate linear accelerators and other complex radiotherapy equipment.

    Maintain detailed treatment records and ensure accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system.

    Educate patients and their families about radiation therapy procedures, side effects, and management strategies.

    Observe patients during treatment and report any concerns or changes in condition to the Radiation Oncologist or radiation oncology nurse.

    Participate in departmental quality assurance and safety checks.

    Qualifications

    Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.

    Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.

    New York State licensure as a Radiation Therapist.

    Excellent technical skills and a high degree of precision and accuracy.

    Strong patient-centered focus and the ability to provide compassionate support.

    Experience with advanced treatment techniques such as IMRT, IGRT, or SBRT (preferred)

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
