We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, including those with autism and other developmental disabilities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing their quality of life through personal care, social engagement, and assistance with daily living activities. This position requires a patient and empathetic individual who is committed to fostering independence and promoting well-being. These positions are part-time.
Responsibilities
Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Provide patient care and support in a home or community setting.
Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring the health and safety of those in your care.
Engage clients in social activities to promote interaction and community involvement.
Support individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
Assist with mobility needs, including lifting or transferring individuals safely.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to create personalized care plans.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Provide first aid as necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Provide and/or schedule transportation to and from community events and appointments
Requirements
Previous experience in working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities .
Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
Ability to perform basic cooking tasks for meal preparation.
Certification in first aid and CPR is beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
Must be able to lift individuals safely when required.
Flexibility in scheduling is important as shifts may vary based on client needs.

· Wednesday & Thursday 3:30 pm-7:30 pm and Saturday 11:00 am-3:00 pm (1 opening)
Monday- Friday 4:30-8:30 and every other Saturday from 10:00-2:00 pm (1 Opening)
We have 2 openings for our community engagement program located in Danville: Pay Rate: $15.00-$16.00
· Monday, Thursday, &-Friday 9:30am to 2:30pm (1 position) Every other Saturday Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 4:30pm to 7:30 pm (1 position) Every other Saturday
