ASSOCIATE DEAN FOR CLINICAL MEDICAL EDUCATION, PROPOSED COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE
D’Youville University’s proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine has opened a search for an Associate Dean of Clinical Education. The Associate Dean is the principal clinical medical education administrative officer and is responsible for the implementation of the clinical academic program, the coordination of the academic calendar, division budget preparation and administration, supervision of the medical education staff, and assuring the curricular content is taught, learned and assessed in a manner that is appropriate for the student’s achievement of professional competencies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
D.O./M.D. degree preferred with a history in academic medicine teaching and assesment.
A Ph.D. with an academic background in medical education from an accredited
institution may be considered, if the experience includes equivalent education leadership skills in medical education.
A physician with successful completion of an approved faculty development or other graduate program in education management preferred.
If a physician, State Licensure required.
Experience: Five years of full-time teaching experience in a medical school and successful administrative experience at the Discipline or Department level in higher education.
