    Certified Special Education Substitute Teacher

     

    TX-STAR Speech Language Services - Dallas, TX

    TX-STAR is partnering with some school districts in the Dallas area!

    We are looking for Certified Special Education Substitute Teachers to join our team. As a Contract Certified Special Education Substitute Teacher, you will serve in a critical role in providing instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.

    Part-time and full-time opportunities are available! Flexible schedules!

    We have some fantastic schools in Texas that we are continuing and actively recruiting for at the start of and all through each school year!

    Duties:

    • Instruction: Deliver instruction tailored to the needs of individual students with disabilities.

    • Progress Monitoring and Data Collection.

    • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and behavior management.

    • Related Services: Collaborate with educational assistants, therapists, and other support staff to provide a comprehensive educational experience for students.

    • Flexibility: Be available to step in on short notice to cover special education teacher absences, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to student success.

    • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with school staff, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

     

    Assignment Details:

    • Ready and willing to provide support across the full continuum of services provided to special education students. This includes both inclusive and self-contained settings.

    • Elementary, Middle, and High School settings.

    • In-person instruction.

     

    Position Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Special Education.

    • Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education

    • Experience working with students with disabilities.

    • Knowledge of Individual Education Plans and special education best practices.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to adapt to various classroom environments and learning styles.
