    Job Description

    Dalmatian Fire Equipment Group is seeking a qualified Bookkeeper to join our office administrative and accounting team in Eaton, Colorado (8 minutes North of Greeley).

    The Bookkeeper will work in the office team and report to the company president. He/she will have the primary responsibility of maintaining the accuracy of internal financial records and reporting. The Bookkeeper will have secondary responsibility for routine office management duties.

    Task/Duties:

    • · AP – Enter bills, print payment checks after approval.
    • · AR—Create invoices and send after approval. Send monthly statements. Electronically deposit and record checks.
    • · Payroll – Monitor time clocks, time off and payroll submission to payroll service.
    • · Sales Tax – Reconcile sales tax monthly using interface to Avalara who files the returns.
    • · Cash and credit cards – Reconciliation with online statements
    • · Financial reporting – Support real-time access to QuickBooks for the team, and close monthly.
    • · Coordinate with external CPA – monthly accounting entries and annual tax filings
    • · Business Licenses – Maintain proper business licenses and registrations in all required states.
    • · Manage office supplies.

    Qualifications

    1. Associates degree in Accounting plus equivalent experience.

    2. Sound grasp of double entry accounting principles.

    3. Working knowledge of QuickBooks and its quirks. (We use a ten user enterprise version)

    4. Four or more years of experience.

    5. Good verbal and written communication skills.

    6. Sound math and analytical skills.

    7. Advanced Excel skills.

    8. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

    Typical working hours are M-F 8:30 to 5:00.

    Following receipt of applications, the team will select a few candidates for phone interviews. Following the phone interviews, some will be invited for a multi-hour face to face interview.

    Starting pay is $56,000 per year. Health insurance begins after 90 days. Employees receive paid vacation, and 15 standard paid holidays including the week off between Christmas and New Year. Employees may participate in the company 401K plan after one year including company matching contributions.
