    How will you contribute:

    The ideal candidate will have an interest in learning different aspects of construction. NO DAY IS THE SAME! Employees have the opportunity to have a diverse workload and perform a variety of jobs during all phases of construction. The role entails a wide range of tasks, from basic to difficult. Candidate is a key to successful operation on the job site, working closely with all team members to complete the projects.

    (Carpenter, Concrete, Masonry, Underground, Utilities, Shorelines, and MORE)

    A day in the life at Daniels can look like:

    • Keep the project site clean and appearance professional daily.
    • Prepare site for appropriate work tasks.
    • Transport material; assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment.
    • Accurately measure and cut marked material with appropriate tool(s).
    • Erect and work on scaffolding, ladder, and platform, maintaining safety protocols.
    • Assist Foreman with material, equipment, look ahead, and monitor safety of others.
    • Inspect all work to ensure quality and accuracy with levels, rulers, framing squares, and make necessary adjustments.
    • Layout and put work in place with minimal direction during construction.
    • Accurately complete daily work hours in timekeeping system. This includes using appropriate job numbers, work codes, and equipment allocations.

    Carpentry

    • Perform demolition of interior/exterior build out in designated areas as assigned with respect towards equipment, property, and safety.
    • Install steel stud and/or wood framing.
    • Install drywall, fire taping, and perform drywall finishings.
    • Install cabinets, windows, trim, doors, hardware, etc.

    Concrete

    • Responsible for the completion of concrete jobs assigned in a way that meets company productivity, quality, and safety targets.
    • Ability to finish interior and exterior concrete.
    • Level concrete by striking off to proper height.
    • Layout and forming of steps.
    • Montor the effect hears, winder and cold have on curing concrete to ensure high quality results.
    • Removing edges on expansion joints and sides.
    • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
    • Polish surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools, and surfacing machines.

    Safety

    • Attend and participate in all required safety training and toolbox talks.
    • Promote, execute, and adhere to the Company's safety program (particularly the use of hardhats, safety glasses, and work boots and encourage all employees to adopt safety as a culture.
    • Demonstrate a safety presence, lead by example.

    What you need to qualify:

    Candidates will have functional experience/related experience. 3+ years, preferred. Candidate must have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel within 90 miles of Dane County.

    • High School Diploma and/or GED, preferred
    • Reliable Transportation, required
    • Ability to travel between job sites throughout the day, preferred
    • Functional Experience (Related Experience), required.
    • Current Commercial Drivers License or ability to obtain, preferred
    • Ability to speak and understand English, required.
    • Maintain Basic Hand Tools
    • Demonstrate willingness to learn multiple trade crafts and safety.
    • Great work ethic, punctuality, and dependability.
    • Demonstrate the ability to work with others and be a self-starter.
    • Communicate professionally with other employees, customers, and management.
    • Adaptable to change in the work environment.
