Reports to : Manager, Data and Salesforce Administration
** Position Summary** : The Data Administration and Technology Specialist will assist the Manager, Data and Salesforce Administration with tasks including but not limited to being CBA’s main point of contact for creating surveys/forms for data collection purposes, maintaining and auditing CBA’s Salesforce database, providing Salesforce support to CBA staff, and supporting staff with research and administrative needs.
Essential Duties:
Data Collection (25%):
- Be the main point of contact to support CBA staff in creating forms and surveys using FormAssembly.
- Stay up to date with all FormAssembly feature updates by attending webinars and online conferences, being active in the FormAssembly Slack workspace.
- Create and maintain connections between FormAssembly and Salesforce to collect response data in Salesforce.
- Provide support to internal and external users of FormAssembly.
- Create and maintain documentation for business processes that involve FormAssembly and how to handle any errors.
Data Management and Analysis (20%)
- Provide support to Manager, Data and Salesforce Administration in data projects as they come up.
- Support CBA staff with any research or data collection and cleaning tasks.
- Use ArcGIS to create maps and dashboards to join CBA data and other data sources, including maintaining the CBA Member map.
- Support teams and initiatives at CBA by generating reports of CBA member locations, contacts, and activity.
Salesforce Database Administration (25%):
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, merging duplicate records when necessary, running regular audits, using dataloader to create and update records, creating custom objects and fields, and removing unnecessary fields.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards for CBA staff.
- Support team initiatives by building automations with Salesforce Flow and troubleshooting automations when there are errors.
- Stay up to date with all new Salesforce feature releases by attending all webinars, online conferences, completing trailhead modules, and joining relevant Trailblazer communities.
- Support the creation and management of Salesforce processes documentation.
IT Projects and Support (20%)
- Respond to IT support and troubleshooting requests in a timely manner, providing consistent updates while investigating and resolving an issue.
- Use internal documentation and external consultants to triage and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Track and identify repeat issues for escalation or comprehensive solutions, with support from external consultants.
- Execute IT projects, including platform changes, updates to CBA systems, and feature introductions.
- Work with other Operations staff and team members to research, test, and implement IT improvements across the organization.
- Provide updates to stakeholders and support when launching new features or platforms.
- Support organizational needs by assisting in the research of potential new technology tools or applications at CBA.
Other Responsibilities (10%)
- Assist the tech and operations team with ad hoc tasks including support for virtual event platforms, testing new platforms, and other organizational initiatives.
Qualifications and Essential Skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience utilizing Excel for data analysis and using more advanced tools like formulas, VLOOKUP, text-to-columns, and pivot tables.
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM.
- Experience with any form creation tools like SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, FormAssembly, Qualtrics, etc.
- Good attention to detail; data must be accurate.
- Communication skills: Not afraid to ask questions when something isn’t understood.
- A Learner’s Mindset: use tools such as StackExchange, Reddit, Google, YouTube, to help in solving problems, complete Salesforce trailhead modules to new learn new skills.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with any coding languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript..
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or any other Business Intelligence tools.
- Classwork with statistics, regression analysis, social science/economic research, survey design or ArcGIS.
- Experience working with organizations that serve marginalized populations.
Location: CBA is headquartered in Washington, DC. We are currently seeking applicants local to the DC metropolitan area.
Travel: Travel may be required for this position.
