This position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow Christ. The Data Analyst reports to the Director of Information Services and Analysis and is globally responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the company’s information. This includes supporting the creation, protection, maintenance, and broad-based use of the datasets that make-up the information. Sky Ranch values data that is accurate, timely, easily maintained, and actually used. To ensure this, the role will be the strategic owner of key systems, champion controls and processes, manage integration projects, create, and maintain data libraries, discover and recommend key metrics, create reports, monitor user data creation and maintenance, and support the reporting needs across all departments and functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data & Systems Management
Consolidate and maintain historical data
Create and enforce company-wide process and controls to ensure clean data
Create and maintain automation between systems utilizing APIs or automation tools such as Power Automate, Zapier, etc.
Implement new platforms and functionality
Reporting
Maintain a global reporting strategy
Identify key reports, KPIs, metrics by department, function, user, etc.
Consolidate and maintain reporting dissemination (duplicates, DNUs, user access, etc.)
Align data to support reporting strategy
Train users on how to use, create, and run reporting
Sample Areas of Focus
Guests (counts, retention, surveys, etc.)
Donors (restrictions, appeals, lists, etc.)
Operations (calendaring, assets, occupancy, etc.)
Employees (recruiting, retention, training, performance, surveys, etc.)
Sales & Marketing (impressions, market share, comparisons, etc.)
Note: Financial areas will be shared (trends, procurement, budgets, etc.)
Systems Ownership
Research, recommend, implement, and maintain core data platforms
Maintain users and permissions
Implementation, automation and integration advancements
Ensure each platform has an operational owner, back-up plans, and documentation

Identify data points and needs to support reporting, metrics, KPIs, etc.
Analyze and provide variances and trend analysis as needed (e.g. revenue, purchasing, guest counts)
Create and maintain KPIs, reports, metrics, and benchmarks across entities, departments, and programs
Implementation automation and integration to centralize data
Perform checks and audits to ensure accuracy

Support staff with proactive and requested data/reports
Create and lead training on data, reports, and related systems
Create and distribute documentation for training and processes
Build and maintain custom reports and data requests
Develop and maintain positive, respectful and supportive relationships with all Sky Ranch employees and departments with open and proactive communication

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
College degree in relevant field
EXPERIENCE
Experience in camp or similar industry
Experience in data and database management
Experience in systems and software technology
Preference for experience with tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Preference for experience with APIs
KNOWLEDGE
Expert in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
Proficiency with Power BI
Proficiency with Power Automate
Preference for working knowledge of Crystal Reports and Visual Basic
