Data Architect

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with a focus on Snowflake to design, implement, and optimize data architectures in an Azure environment. The ideal candidate will also interface with SAP and work with tools like Power BI for reporting and visualization. You will have a unique role that combines architectural responsibilities with data engineering tasks, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure data systems. Experience with Snowflake AI or analytics applications is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture & Design: Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions using Snowflake on Azure.
- Data Engineering: Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to efficiently move data between systems, including SAP, Snowflake, and other data sources.
- SAP Integration: Collaborate with the SAP team to ensure seamless data integration between Snowflake and SAP systems.
- Snowflake AI: Leverage Snowflake AI capabilities to build predictive models, analytics pipelines, and other advanced data processing features.
- Data Governance: Implement and maintain data governance practices, ensuring compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and internal policies.
- Data Modeling: Design and optimize data models for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence purposes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and Power BI developers to provide reliable and accessible data for decision-making.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize the performance of data pipelines, queries, and overall architecture to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including data architecture diagrams, processes, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role.
- Extensive experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
- Azure Data Services experience, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating SAP data into Snowflake.
- Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Snowflake AI experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Python, Scala, or other programming languages used for data processing is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or relevant work experience.
