    Data Center Electrician - Remote 
    Our client is an established Electrical Contracting Firm that is a leader in the Data Center / Mission Critical Facilities Market. They build mission-critical facilities for data center facilities nationwide for Enterprise, Colocation and Hyperscale Companies. They provide electrical contractors, designers, electrical commissioning, operations / maintenance, and management expertise for their clients’ critical power needs.     We are looking for a Data Center Electrician to support critical data center construction projects nationwide. The Mission Critical Electrician will be responsible for installation of power systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within data center construction environments. The Journeyman Electrician will play a critical role in ensuring the electrical systems on-site meet safety standards and project specifications.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform electrical installations including wiring – pull and terminate, conduit work, switchgear, and lighting in compliance with local and national electrical codes
    • Install a variety of state-of-the-art critical systems, including but not limited to; medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, paralleling switchboards, UPS, PDU, whips, cables, and building monitoring systems.
    • Diagnose and repair electrical issues to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely
    • Conduct regular maintenance checks on electrical systems, ensuring all components are functioning correctly and replacing or repairing faulty parts as necessary
    • Compliance with all local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as company safety protocols and procedures
    • Document and Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
    • Collaborate with other trades, including HVAC and Electrical engineers, project managers, and construction workers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project
    • Ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA regulations
    • Provide guidance and training to apprentice electricians as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Journeyman Electrician License is a big plus
    • 3 or more years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with specific experience in critical facilities / data center construction projects a big plus (or relevant industry)
    • Strong understanding of electrical power systems with the ability to read / interpret one lines / blueprints, and schematics and apply them in the field
    • Three or more years + of relevant experience (experience with power / electrical equipment including generators, critical and essential PDU’s, UPS, switchgear, DC Power Systems, and building monitoring/control systems)
    • Proficient in using electrical tools and equipment, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
    • Knowledge of NEC codes
    • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions – indoor / outdoor
    • Member of Local 238 , or other electrical union or open to joining the electrical union
    • Previous experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc.)
    • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint)
