    Data Collection Support Specialist

    Wilshire Finance Partners, a real estate finance and investment company based in Irvine, California, seeks a motivated and detail-oriented individual as a Data Collection Specialist to gather information on US real estate market participants.

    Opportunity

    The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate and data entry. The main responsibilities will include:

    Gather Data: Pulling and organizing relevant data from external and internal sources. This data will be obtained from:

    Company websites

    Public sources

    Contacting companies by phone

    Interviews

    Mailings

    Surveys

    Internal information

    Creating programs that filter and extract data from corporate databases

    Conducting research to locate information from public databases

    Clean Raw Data: Once a data set has been built, clean the data to remove bad information, correct information (e.g. correct misspelled names), ensure addresses and contact information have consistent formats, filling in missing values, removing duplications, etc. This will be done manually (e.g. scrolling through spreadsheets to make corrections), and by programs written by the specialist to perform these tasks for larger data sets. Thereafter, import and/or key the data into spreadsheets or databases.

    Organize, Analyze and Segment Data: Ensure that all data is accurate and properly organized. Under the supervision of a senior team member, perform some of the basic data segmentation for use within the client relationship management (CRM) and other systems.

    Requirements

    3 years or more of mortgage, title insurance, escrow, real estate sales/transaction coordinator, or similar real estate-based experience

    Data collection or database experience (including, data entry)

    Research and organizational skills

    Attention to detail and accuracy

    Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English is required

    Interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external contacts

    Experience with Excel, Word and Outlook; experience with CRM systems is a plus

    Self-starter and critical thinker who can work independently and collaboratively

    Strong work ethic, pride in work, team orientation, acute attention to detail and desire to learn

    Associate’s degree or equivalent

    Compensation

    $22.00 per hour

    Other Information

    Full or part-time

    On-site, Irvine, California (not a remote position)
