GLIN is seeking a Data Engineer Analyst to support the Tech/Data team by handling operational tasks and reporting projects, managing and optimizing SQL Server databases, developing automated reporting solutions, and managing diverse payer data sources. This role is essential for ensuring data integrity, supporting operational projects, and enabling strategic initiatives within Great Lakes Integrated Network IPA.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Support Operational Projects: Handle operational tasks and reporting projects, enabling the Analytics Team to focus on strategic initiatives.
- SQL Server Management: Build, manage, and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures for testing, validating, and reporting data.
- Automation and Reporting: Develop automated reporting solutions using Python, Excel VBA, and other relevant tools to streamline data processes.
- Data Management: Assist in the ingestion and management of diverse data sources, ensuring accurate and unified data pipelines.
- Pipeline Testing: Conduct testing and validation of data builds to maintain data quality and reliability.
- Dashboard Development: Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards using tools like Excel, Tableau or PowerBI.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand data needs and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data processes and reporting systems.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as needed to support business objectives.
Qualifications or Education, Training, and Experience:
- BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field (Required)
- Relevant certifications or coursework in Python and SQL (Preferred)
- 2 years of experience in Python and SQL (Required)
- 1 year of experience in data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) (Preferred)
- Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline management (Preferred)
- Familiarity with data architectures and application design (Preferred)
Knowledge and Skills:
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Python and SQL. Experience with Excel VBA is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve data and system issues efficiently.
- Project Management: Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Communication: Good written and oral communication skills for collaboration and documentation.
- Flexibility: Willingness to take on various tasks, including busy work and reporting projects.
- Passion for Healthcare: Interest in contributing to meaningful changes in the healthcare industry is a plus.

Pay range: $90,000 to $105,000
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to market data, education, experience, qualifications, and expertise of the individual and internal equity considerations
