Job Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer Intern to join our Summer 2025 internship program. The intern will work closely with data engineers to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensure data quality, and support the organization’s data infrastructure. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, database management, and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipelines to support data analytics and business intelligence
• Help with the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand data requirements and ensure proper data availability
• Assist in maintaining and optimizing database systems (e.g., SQL and NoSQL databases)
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security by monitoring and improving data quality
• Participate in data modeling and architecture design sessions
• Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and analysis
• Contribute to the development and implementation of automated data processes
• Assist in identifying and resolving data-related issues and discrepancies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data-related projects and initiatives

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL), data pipelines, and ETL processes
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform data analysis using SQL or other tools
