Here at NBCU, we strive to be on the forefront of leading-edge technology and are seeking a savvy troop of technologists we call Media Tech Interns.
Our program exposes students to technical opportunities across NBCUniversal’s Operations & Technology organizations and serves as a main pipeline into our Rotational Associate Programs. As a NBCUniversal Media Tech Intern, you will gain hands-on experience, allowing you to apply your classroom knowledge to practical situations. We offer a 2 day in-person orientation in our NY office where we bring all interns together to meet each other and various business leaders.
Students will experience firsthand how one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the world operates and delivers strategic, innovative solutions.
Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
Data & Analytics, Corporate: Our team manages the corporate analytics Portfolio along with the Unified architecture analytics and Supplier management analytics. The intern will gain exposure to the various initiatives within our organization. Some upcoming projects are Internal mobility for movements and promotions, Space planning for international locations, SuccessFactors BTP dashboard development, Legal Spending analytics etc. The intern will create and update dashboards/reports using AI tools such as copilot, collaborate with Product and stakeholders to fulfill Jira tickets, and shadow data engineers on projects to learn how to develop data pipelines.
Data & Analytics Content, Research: Our team sits within the Data & Analytics organization, and we manage all research applications in the data and analytics team. We ingest data from all external providers and make it available to all internal consumers. Learning about RT applications will provide a great opportunity for career advancement in IT as we use many different technologies. The intern will assist in RT applications testing and minor development, documenting/updating WIKI (Confluence page) for RT applications testing process, and creating new DAG for data ingestion.
Post Production Engineering : Our team is responsible for engineering, innovation, and support in the post production world for various business units within the company, both on-prem and in the cloud. We are in transit of on-boarding business to the Cloud, which comes with exciting infrastructure, automation, and workflow builds. This involves some exciting data handling too. The intern will support the data warehouse of Production and Archive data - This is a larger initiative to centralize the data from different production (AVID) sources and the archive (MAM) system. They’ll also support Power BI dashboards - To create user and business dashboards based on the existing data within the AIRE and Archive (MAM) systems.

Desired Characteristics :
The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $30.00
The hourly rate for graduate student interns is $30.00
The hourly rate for MBA student interns is $30.00
