Job Summary
We are seeking a Data Entry Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will accurately transfer information into our database system. Your responsibilities may include verifying customer information, updating existing information, entering new orders, contacting customers to verify orders, creating notes, answering customer phone calls and questions and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is a fast and accurate typist with attention to detail and has great math skills for calculations and measurements.
Responsibilities
Accurately transfer incoming orders to our system
Email customers order confirmations
Collect information directly from customers over the phone and by email to enter information into the database
Create accurate spreadsheets in google sheets
Transfer all invoices to google sheets
Confirm accuracy of data by comparing to original documents
Keep customers files up to date with updated notes
Maintain an organized filing system of original documents and updated spreadsheets
Answer incoming customer calls providing them with their order update
Preform outbound customer calls to go over their order and verify their accuracy
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Great Math Skills needed for calculations and measurements
Problem Solver
Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a similar position is preferred
Typing speed of 45 words per minute with a high level of accuracy
Skilled in Google Sheets
Familiarity with standard office equipment such as fax machines, printers, computers and landlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
