Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Data Provider Analyst to lead the discovery, evaluation, and integration of third-party data sources. This individual will play a critical role in enhancing our data ecosystem by identifying high-quality third-party data providers, assessing the incremental value they bring to our existing data, and researching innovative audience opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Provider Outreach:
* Identify and engage with third-party data providers to understand their offerings.
* Establish and maintain relationships with external data providers to ensure access to high-quality data sources.
- Data Quality Evaluation:
* Conduct comprehensive vetting of data quality, ensuring accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Perform detailed assessments to ensure data alignment with business needs and strategic goals.
- Incremental Value Analysis:
* Analyze how third-party data enhances or complements existing data assets.
* Quantify the incremental benefit of integrating third-party data into existing workflows.
- Audience Research:
* Identify and evaluate new high-value audience segments and opportunities using third-party data.
* Collaborate with internal teams to align audience development efforts with strategic objectives.
- Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain clear documentation of data provider evaluations, methodologies, and decisions.
* Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including leadership teams.
- Data Provider Negotiation:
* Negotiate contracts directly with data providers to ensure the best rate possible.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data acquisition, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of data quality metrics, statistical analysis, and evaluation techniques.
- Experience with tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar for data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with external providers and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with advertising, marketing, or audience data.
- Proven ability to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of data partnerships.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and innovations in third-party data markets.

How does Masterworks Think About Compensation?
The compensation range for the role is $80,000-$120,000 (inclusive only of base salary, and exclusive of other potential competitive benefits such as on-target commission, bonus payments, and equity). Our ranges are broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
