WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our business gets more complex, we have an ever-growing need to respond with more sophisticated analysis. In a world of information overload, data sets can become large and unorganized. This individual will work to uncover data, normalize data sets to be used in-depth analysis, and make recommendations for how to optimize our analysis capability. Being intellectually curious is half the battle.
Supports various business functions and ensures the proper analytics and data are available for internal users.
Provides research and analytical support to internal customers including, but not limited to: financial analysis, data analysis, trend identification, as well as monitoring and summarizing the progress of enterprise projects.
Identifies business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations.
Performs and actively seeks to optimize business models inclusive of financial models for existing and new offerings.
Performs ad hoc requests for reports to identify trends, confirm theories and uncover hidden opportunities for data refinement.
Assesses current Business Analysis processes and provides recommendations for new methods to enhance analytics for internal customers.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We seek to build teams of individuals who maintain trusted relationships, demonstrate accountability, influence without authority, have a service mindset, agility and curiosity. Our ideal candidate will possess a mix of the following skills and competencies:
1-3 years of professional experience in data science/analytics
Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree in Data Science or a relevant field is highly preferred
Experience with SQL, R or Python is beneficial
Experience with Tableau is beneficial (Or another reputable data visualization tool)
Experience with applied statistics and quantitative modelling (e.g. regression, survival analysis, segmentation, experimentation, and machine learning when needed)
Demonstrated ability to translate analytical insights into clear recommendations and effectively communicate them to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to respond to challenges with conviction
Excellent communicator, both oral and written
