Vital Tech Solutions is looking for a highly motivated and outgoing DataStage Developer to join our team; the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing user-friendly, responsive and high-performance web applications for a federal client.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and optimize DataStage ETL jobs.
• Investigate, cleanse and manage data with Quality Stage.
• Deliver DataStage solutions with DataStage Anywhere.
• Work with DataStage installations on AWS.
• Manage cloud data with AWS RDS (Postgres and Oracle).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and secure solutions.
• Monitor and optimize ETL resources to ensure cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DataStage.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in cloud operations.
• Provide documentation, training, and support to internal teams and clients as needed.
• Stay current with the latest DataStage features, best practices, and industry trends.
• Work in a fast-paced Agile environment with fluid requirements and changing priorities.
• Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Work closely with customers to implement and/or consult requested solutions.
• Possess considerable logic and understanding to analyze and troubleshoot problems.

Required skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Eng or related (highly preferred)
• Candidates MUST possess an ACTIVE SECRET clearance
• Experience with enterprise-level deployments and managing cloud environments.
• Experience with developing and optimizing DataStage ETL jobs
• IBM Certified Solution Developer - InfoSphere DataStage
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Experience working with IBM Infosphere QualityStage and Solutions Developer experience including DataStage v11.7
• Experience working with DataStage NextGen, preferred
• Experience working with DataStage installations on AWS
• Experience working with AWS RDS (Postgres and Oracle)
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
