The Database Administrator acts as a project leader in the design and installation of database applications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ensures appropriate linkages to existing databases and data processing systems.
• Ensures adequate security and recovery procedures are included in all data base designs.
• Directs the training of user groups in the protocols involved in updating and accessing the database.
• Monitors database transactions to ensure correct usage of the database.
• Provides technical expertise on the database system to user and data processing personnel.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience within the last five (5) years, in current Database Management System (DBMS) technologies, application design utilizing various DBMS, and experience with DBMS internals.

CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret SCI W/Poly
