    STAFF ACCOUNTANT

    DAVID G. JUNOD & ASSOCIATES, CPAS

    The CPA Firm serves nationwide clients from offices the main office in The Collection area of Oxnard, California. Offers a work/life balance with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PRIMARY DUTIES:

    • Preparation of federal, state and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, C corporations, and S corporations
    • Preparation of quarterly payroll tax returns, W-2 forms and 1099 forms
    • Position will require direct client contact
    • Responsible for keeping current on and possessing sound knowledge of tax code
    • Preparation of trust accounting
    • Other tax compliance responsibilities may include IRS audit assistance, tax notice response, trust returns, gift and estate returns
    • Prepare journal entries

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 3 years accounting experience with a tax focus
    • Bachelors degree required
    • Minimum 1+ years experience working at a CPA firm
    • Minimum 1+ years QuickBooks and Excel experience
    • High degree of self-motivation and self-investment
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective English language speaking and writing skills
    • Willingness to learn and be challenged
    • Possesses excellent time management and prioritization skills
    • Able to effectively communicate with clients
    • Proficient with ProSystems or other tax preparation software
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
    • Strong work ethic
